Hi Guys! So today I would like to share with you the mood board from one of the projects I worked on a while back. This proposal belongs to a project called the 8th Avenue Project and if you would like to see what we did for their living room, you can access it here.
The seventies were all about bold colours and patterns and a way to incorporate them into nowadays design is through a more refined and toned-down palette. The trick is to interpret the fashion of yesteryear into homewares, colour palette, and finishes that are contemporary and modern enough to the homes nowadays and just giving a little taste of the sensational style from the 70s.
Vizcaya was created thanks to a man called James Deering’s. The purpose of this beautiful mansion and stunning gardens were to be his subtropical winter home in the 1910's and today it is a National Historic Landmark and accredited museum. Can you imagine why? This place is just gorgeous!
Let's face it: Not everybody in this industry is as multi-talented as Kelly Wearstler. Everything that she created, doesn't matter if it is fashion/jewelry/interiors/books/ and even chocolates! are absurdly glamorous and polished. And this is one of the reasons I love her and her design style so much!

We are back with our 8th avenue project! This project is going to be done in a beautiful brand new house and belongs to a lovely and fun young couple, but because of their busy lifestyles and schedule it lacks furniture and personality, but this is going to change soon! Our aim is to bring elegance, modernism, brightness, and coziness to the living room all at the same time. And we think we have completely nailed it! What do you think?
I can't be more excited right now. It has been approximately 8 months since we moved into a new rented place, and we are finally decorating our living room, or should I say... creating one?!
